The “Growing Up Afro” exhibition presented by the Afro-American Newspapers will open its doors on June 23 at 10 a.m. at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum (830 E. Pratt Street).
The one of a kind pictorial exhibition highlights the wide spectrum of African American life, history and culture depicted in the pages of the Afro through the unique experience of children. 120 photographs have been selected from the Afro’s historic archival collection.
The exhibition will be on display at the Reginald F. Lewis Museum from June 23 – December 30, 2012.
